Dr. Alford and her technician were both very rude and provided the worst dental care I have ever experienced, it was complete and total torture, all her fault.
I came in for a root canal at the recommendation of my regular dentist. When I got into the chair, I told the technician that I need extra novacaine as I have a low pain threshhold. She snottily told me that sometimes people anticipate pain and it's only their perception that makes it painful. I said, that's what pain is, a perception, and I am 40 years old and I know I need extra novacaine. She huffed and snorted and would not give me any extra, she flatly refused. They gave me some novacaine, then Dr. Alford said 'let's see if you are numb', poked my gum with a needle (excrutiating!), I screamed in pain. She leaned down into my face and said 'you can't scream, you will upset the other patients'. I was shocked! So then I had to wait while the second does of novacaine (Dr. Alford refused at first too but I kept telling her she was hurting me).
When we finally came out into the waiting room, Dr. Alford told my husband (not me!) 'it took a while to get her numb' as if I did it on purpose to annoy her. My husband actually said, 'didn't she tell you that she needs extra novacaine?' Ha!
This was absolutely the worst medical experience of my life. I can't believe this butcher is allowed to practice dentistry. If I could give zero stars, I would. Horrible, horrible, horrible.
